President’s Letter
CSI Greenville members and Upstate AEC community members,
It is such an honor to serve as President of the CSI Greenville chapter this year and we are very excited for the opportunities and programing coming in 2025 and into 2026 that we hope our members and greater community can participate in and join us. We look forward to continuing to provide quality programming and social events while also increasing our partnerships with other organizations and members within the Upstate.
We were honored to serve as the host city this past April for the CSI Southeast Regional conference and are thankful to our Board members for helping with volunteering and member participation in continuing education presentations during the conference. We look forward to joining our CSI Southeast Region community members in Miami April of 2026.
As we are transitioning into the warmer months our Board is hard at work to plan our summer social, we will be sharing those details soon and hope to have you join us. In addition to our socials, we have some creative programming in the works for the fall including a progressive tasting dinner and product representative networking event. As we finalize the details of these events rest assured we will be sharing these not only on our website, but on our socials @csigreenvillesc on Instagram and LinkedIn and in our newsletter.
This past spring in partnership with AIA Greenville and SCNOMA and the Red Shield Youth Center we hosted the second PAWchitecture Design Build competition. Four Design Build teams from the Upstate house designed and built pet houses that were auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the Greenville Humane Society. We thank the teams from Greenville Technical College, Clemson University, MHK Architecture and Forge Construction and McMillan Pazdan Smith and Mavin Construction for participating in this event and the time and effort spent building and designing these beautiful pet homes. We look forward to being a part of the next PAWchitecture in 2027.
Another initiative we hope to develop in the coming months is our continued connection with our emerging professionals both at Greenville Technical College and Clemson University. We are planning some events catered to the students to increase our younger members and provide additional mentorship and networking opportunities for our Upstate young professionals.
Through our partnerships and outreach we hope to continue to grow our membership throughout the Upstate and work on ways to strengthen our presence throughout the region. We welcome feedback on what we can work on and what additional programming and resources we can provide. As part of this effort we have sent our membership a survey to help further gather information to help streamline our efforts. Please be on the lookout for this and we welcome your participation.
